The summary
The performance and efficiency of a boat engine can be found by the propeller's thrust vector. The boat motor is mounted on a test stand consisting of a plate connected to an arm, this arm has elasticity and will be bent as a mirror of the propeller's thrust.
By reading the bend of the arm in conjunction with data on propeller and engine revs as well as fuel weight, the propeller and engine can be dissolved in their efficiency, the combustion efficiency of the engine and the propeller's efficiency loss and propulsion.

Claims (8)

1. The boat motor is mounted on a test stand e.g. FIG. 2 consisting of a simple force arm in which all or part of the force arm is elastic.

2. The bend elastic part of the force arm contains the propeller's thrust in the x, y plane, propulsion and loss.

3. As 2 where the bent elastic part of the force arm contains the thrust of the propeller in the x, y, z plane.

4. As 3 where data form the complex propeller force direction vector consisting of x, y or real part as well as imaginary part, five operation and loss

5. As 4 where the numerical value of the vector compared to propeller rotations gives the propulsive power from the propeller to the medium in which it rotates as well as its solution of applied power propulsion and loss.

6. As 4 where the numerical value of the vector compared to engine revs and propeller revs gives engine power to propeller as well as engine torque, horsepower relative to propeller revs, and gear ratio between engine and propeller.

7. As 4 where the numerical value of the vector compared to engine and propeller revolutions as well as fuel weight gives engine combustion efficiency as well as the efficiency of the entire boat engine.

8. Symmetry of the boat engine and its energy can be found at and let the engine work but without the propeller working in a medium other than air.
